First Green Venture Summit on 10 May 2010 in Berlin
The Green Venture Summit 2010 (twitter hashtag: #GVS10) is a new international Cleantech conference for startups, investors, thought leaders and successful ventures. The GVS10 takes place for the first time in Berlin on 10 May 2010 in the wonderful conference location called Moskau, Karl-Marx-Allee 34, 10178 Berlin.
The GVS10 is jointly organised by Sarik Weber and Jan Michael Hess who both are serial entrepreneurs in the Internet and Telecommunication industries. Mr. Hess and Mr. Weber expect around 400 participants at their green startup and investor conference in Berlin. The GVS10 takes place in English and will be streamed online as live video. On location, a free WLAN will enable participants to go online and spread the news from the GVS10 using twitter and other realtime apps.
“Going green is the largest economic opportunity of the 21st century,” summarises the famous American VC John Doerr of Kleiner Perkins Caufield Byers. GVS10 Organiser Jan Michael Hess agrees: "We have developed the Green Venture Summit as an open platform for know-how exchange and business development to foster the Green Economy. Companies should go green now and develop clean products and clean services as soon as possible."
While several Cleantech IPOs are in the pipeline this year, the American battery maker A123 Systems celebrated their IPO already in 2009 - 7 years after founding the company. Though taking green technologies to market takes a lot of time and money, GVS10 Organiser Sarik Weber is convinced about the fundamental business opportunity in Cleantech: "We are very motivated to make the Green Venture Summit successful because now is the right time to invest in the Green Economy."
The registration for the Green Venture Summit is open and participants may buy the GVS10 Early Bird ticket online at http://greenvsummit.com for €190,00 incl. 19% VAT until 31 March 2010. Afterwards the GVS10 Standard ticket price will go up to €290,00 incl. 19% VAT.
The agenda of the Green Venture Summit features innovative entrepreneurs, investors, experts and industry leaders in selected Cleantech areas such as renewable energy, solar, wind, emobility, energy storage, energy efficiency, smart grid, smart home, green architecture, green agriculture, water and green management.
