Since a couple of days I am a user of the Berlin-based Bluetooth-powered mobile social network aka aki. I think aka aki is a very cool and super sticky application with a great future. Thumbs up to the 8 co-founders from the UDK (Berlin University of the Arts) for coming up with a mobile innovation that takes advantage of the unique mobile technology Bluetooth to enable a new form of intelligent encounters and meetings in the real world.

While big-screen video is big, small-screen video is still very small. The PC-based Internet video revolution is in full swing and there are many video aggregator and enablers out there for user-generated and professional content that is ad-financed or, sometimes, sold by views or downloads.

Mobile Voice-over-IP (VoIP) will be the ultimate killer application! SMS-over-IP (SoIP) will be the next one! The good news for consumers is that Mobile VoIP is being betatested by a new breed of Mobile VoIP startups such as iSkoot and Truphone. The bad news for Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) is that the betatests are coming to an end very soon. Then Mobile VoIP will be ready for the mass market.
